Display changing color on wake from sleep

Hello all! I'm new to the forum and hope you gurus will be able to help me sort out what's going on with my laptop. Since the last update I've been having an odd issue upon wake from sleep. The screen is dimmed a bit and is a more muted yellowish hue. When I open Settings>>Display the screen immediately returns to the bright and true colors it should have. Sometimes I have to do that twice, but then after that the display stays bright and true color until the next wake from sleep. Night Light toggle is set to "Off." I am on a Lenovo ThinkPad T440s, FHD, running Win10 2004 (19041.508). This behavior has started only since the last update. I thought it might be a driver issue but driver rollback is not available for the display. When I look at the display properties, the display is now recognized as a "Generic PnP Monitor." I can't remember what used to be there, but it wasn't generic. Everything else seems to be working just fine, resolution is good, brightness is good, but this wake from sleep color change is weird. Ideas? Thank you for your help! P.S., I asked a couple of my students, but they didn't seem to have an answer either.

    :)

  3. Sleep / Wake Function, malfunctions after waking

    Hi,

Issues that arise after waking up the PC from sleep mode might have been caused by a software conflict or system file corruption. For us to clarify the issue, we would like to ask these questions:

    • What is the exact issue that you are experiencing?
    • Did you notice any recent system changes prior to this issue?
    • Have you encountered any error message?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

If you are having issues waking your PC from sleep, we suggest running the
    Power troubleshooter
as an initial troubleshooting. Kindly follow these steps:

    • Click on Start.
    • Type Troubleshoot, and then press Enter.
    • Under Find and fix other problems, click on Power.
    • Click on Run the troubleshooter button.
    • Follow the onscreen guide.

We will wait for your response.

    computer wake-up after sleep

Did all the steps exactly as shown above and "Allow this device to wake the computer" was already selected.

I think you might have miss-understood the problem. It appears that the computer is waking up, but it doesn't re-connect to my display. I have to turn off the display and turn it back on to get my display to to re-connect. This was not a problem prior to
    the last Win 10 upgrade.
