Windows 10: Display color management color profile

Windows stops using the color profile .icm set for my displays. This occurs randomly and every time I access system or display settings. The problem started several Windows updates ago and has gotten even worse with the latest updates.


Configuration:

AMD Ryzen 7 1700 running 3GHz

32GB installed ram

Windows 10 Professional 20H2

Nvidia GeForce GT710

Dual Viewsonic VA2249 monitors


The latest nVidia display driver was installed today 12/15/20. Both displays are assigned a color profile created using the X-Rite ColorMonkey monitor calibration device.


Sometimes only the main display HDMI stops honoring the assigned color profile and sometimes it occurs on both displays HDMI and DVI. Checking display settings, the custom color profile is still assigned to both displays.


I've not found any way to get Windows to use the custom color profile once it stops. The only way I found to get Windows to correctly honor the custom profile is to restart the computer.


HELP, anyone?

No display in Color Management

Hello!

I have all the latest drivers installed yet I can't set color profile for the display.

OS Windows 10 Pro (1803)

Processor Intel i5-3550

Videocard AMD FirePro W5100 (AMD Radeon Pro software version 18.Q3.1)

Monitor LG 31MU97 (DisplayPort)

I searched everywhere but I can't find how ho change monitor color profile.

There is no such option in Display settings window nor in Color Management.

Thanks for any hints or suggestions!

as intended by the company that designed that device. If colors don't render correctly on your display, chances are that's not due to a problem with the monitor. For us to help you with your concern, kindly answer the following questions:

• What is the current build and version of your Windows 10? To check type in
  winver on the search bar and press Enter.
• Have you gone to the manufacturer's website to download the most updated monitor driver?
  (Note: Kindly get the monitor driver, not the video driver.)

LG's website and download the driver for your monitor. Kindly use the .icm file on the
Change advanced color management settings for displays, scanners using search.

Color Management

Good day,

I am running the latest version of Win 10 Ver. 1909 and am experiencing problem with Color Management.

I recalibrated both monitors - main one a Dell UP2716D and second monitor a DellP2471H, and now suddenly the colors viewed using Microsoft programs are way off - warm, oversaturated and screen very bright.

Colors are displayed correctly using programs like Firefox and Lightroom 6.4 on the 2716 ...

I tried re-calibrating the main monitor, made sure the X-Rite created monitor profile is selected as the default profile and that "Use Windows Display Calibration" is selected.

It would appear that somehow Microsoft applications ignores the Color Management settings.

Any suggestions please?
