    Display Driver and Performance

I have reinstalled Windows 10 multiple times after my PC first crashed. I wasn't able to view anything and kept on getting this error:

"Log file: D:\WINDOWS\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt". It was after this error that I decided to reinstall Windows 10 using a bootable USB. Now I'm running the latest Windows 10 and my PC has some drivers that are dated to 2006 and I'm only able to use the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter which is also dated to 2006.

And whenever I install Intel HD Graphics my screen goes black and I can't see anything. My PC initially had Intel HD Graphics 500.

I can't put my PC into sleep mode and I have some other drivers that are outdated. I also disabled my device's monitor driver.

I'm thinking it might be a hardware problem, maybe.

Please advice if aware of any solutions.

    :)

  4. Display Driver and Performance

Windows update reverted display to MS Basic Display Driver

    Hi,

Normally, this issue occurs when the drivers were being corrupted or updated after the recent update. Since you've already tried to install the latest driver, we suggest that you roll back to the previous driver and check if it helps to resolve the issue. To
do this, kindly follow the steps below:

    • Open Device Manager.
    • Double-click the device for which you want to roll back to the previous version of the driver, and then click
      Properties.
    • Under the Driver tab, select Roll Back Driver.
    • Select OK.

Let us know how it goes after performing the suggested steps.
