Issue with black screen, dual display, ATI Integrated GPU

Hi,

I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: I suggest you to go to device manager and disable the display drivers, check whether the issue persists or not.

• Press Windows + X keys and click
  Device manager.
• Click to expand Display adapters, right click the second adapter and click
  Disable.
• Restart the computer and check whether the issue persists or not.
• Repeat the same steps to disable the first display adapter and check if it helps.

If you find the issue is with anyone of the display adapters then, I suggest you to update the display drivers from the manufactures website for Windows 10 and check if it helps.

Method 2: I suggest you to follow the steps form the below article for
“Black Screen” issues and check if it helps.

Display Driver failed to start

Hi Clinkre, yes that is why you got the black screen, but you should be fine now . .

Open Device Manager (accessible by right clicking your Start Button)

Expand out the Display adapters section

What device is listed there

If it is not the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, you are Okay, your display driver is loaded correctly

 

Display Driver Fails to Start

About 1-2 months ago, I've had a problem with my display driver. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 (EVGA card). Was running a game then black screan with "no signa;" displayed. Music, game sounds continued. Windoes works fine once rebooted, but I get an error notification
saying, "Display drver failed to start, using windows basic display driver." Problem repeats itself with ANY game.

I have done all the usual fixes:

• Windows updated
• NVIDIA driver updated
• Nvidia driver cleanly uninstalled (with DDU)
• Talked w NVIDIA support, no answers. Even rolled back to a previous version with them.
• Reformed hard drive and reinstalled Windows - no help.

Similar issue. Bit of a vague solution to the problem.
