It's not really possible to downgrade AMD drivers as AMD doesn't store older driver versions. The only update possible is a beta driver which is unstable.

Is there anything else I could do?

Unfortunately not, unless you have a GPU not from AMD.

Okay, well should I try to find an older version then or should I try the beta version? I tried the beta version a few days ago and it had the same issue but I was not only installing the driver for that version.

You can try, but no garantee it'll fix the problem

Okay, I updated to 15.8 which is the beta driver and the problem still resides. I seem to get a lot less BSOD while using this but the "Graphics driver stopped working" error message is still persisting.

I am thinking it could be a flash player issue as Chrome and Firefox crash different amounts, Chrome has an inbuilt flash player and Firefox just uses the one you download. Do you think this could be the case?

Also i read that someone said their errors were caused by the AERO on windows 7. I'm presuming windows 10 uses AERO as well so could that be the issue?

Test it out by disabling flash player in chrome and firefox
    To disable flash in chrome
    • In the address balk type "chrome://plugins" (without quotes) and press enter
    • Uncheck adobe flash player / shockwave flash

    To disable flash in firefox
    • In the address balk type "about:addons" (without quotes) and press enter
    • Search Adobe Acrobat and choose 'ask to activate' or 'never activate'

Okay I did that for chrome and it the problem persisted, however if i lowered the quality from 1080p 60fps to 720p 60fps, it didn't seem to happen. Or maybe it does but it just takes a lot longer or something.

Noticed that the "display driver stopped responding" error also seems to appear when i am dragging a window to resize it. For example it happened whilst i was changing the size of the "My Pictures" folder. Not sure how useful that information is but it does seem interesting.

I am currently testing it on firefox so I will report back after I've watched a few videos.

Okay, videos don't seem to cause any issues on Firefox but browsing webpages still causes the "Display Driver Stopped Responding" error and earlier it BSOD just from closing a tab in Firefox.

Whenever I BSOD these 3 files are always the ones marked as being the problem.

This issue is really infuriating, it shows many signs of it being a faulty graphics card for example how after a while sometimes it will go to a black screen (about the same amount of times as it BSOD) but the PC will still be running, this black screen the vast majority of the time is caused by an overheating graphics card. But when i check my temps they are nowhere near unsafe levels. I have been running games like Borderlands: The Presequel and they will get my GPU temp up to maybe like 66C at most, and browsing the internet/watching videos only gets to around 50C.

Could it maybe be the RAM overheating? I didn't really see it as a common cause for black screen but I don't really understand what else it could be. If it was the processor the entire PC would restart/shut off, if it was GPU the temps would be really high, if it was power supply then the entire system would shut off. I have no problem with buying more RAM if that is the cause but I am just unsure as to find out what actually is causing it.

I just really wish I was able to monitor the temps of my RAM, sadly it doesn't have any kind of thermal monitor for it or anything *Sad

The RAM would make the most sense to me because of it crashing whilst opening/closing tabs. I just really wish a software would just say in big block letters "INSERT_HARDWARE_NAME_HERE IS BROKEN PLEASE FIX"

A member on SevenForums suggested swapping out the cable going into my monitor, do you think that would be worth doing? I really don't see how that could be causing all of these issues like BSOD and stuff. It would make sense with the black screen but i dont see how it could cause a "TDR_VIDEO_FAILURE" BSOD

The GPU creates the screen by sending data via the cable to the monitor.
If something is wrong with the GPU (either hardware or software), you could get that error or some error related.
So, it may be worth trying it yes.

It might also be worth testing the GPU.

Very interesting point to add. When I am talking with my friends using Teamspeak 3 the "Display Driver has stopped responding" errors are much more frequent. Could this be a sound issue causing the crashes then?

Okay I ran the FurMark test. I ran it for just over 30 mins at the recommended settings and It had 0 faults. At this point I am fairly certain it is my RAM overheating or is just faulty in general due to the fact that the errors seem to always happen when opening new windows/tabs. I'm extremely glad to see that my graphics card isn't faulty, it would cost me around £400 to replace my graphics card, but to replace my RAM would probably only cost me about £30 *Biggrin

I'm going to keep looking at software things for the meantime just to make sure it isn't some faulty driver causing the issue but tomorrow I will swap my RAM out for the one in my dad's PC and see if the issue persists.

Are there any other tests that you think I should try out? Is there any good programs to test the PSU as I know some people claim that the PSU was the thing that caused their problem?

For the PSU is replacing the test.
