  1. Display Drivers showing up on device manager

So I uninstall my Display Drivers but I did not check the box when I uninstall it, I don't know if it had anything to do with it but just so you could know and I want to reinstall it again but the Display Driver ion is no where to be found on the device manager. I try download/updating my intel graphics driver and it still does not show up, maybe it in my files somewhere? Any answer would be appreciated.

    :)

    Hi Achyuth,

Thank you writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

We can imagine how difficult it could be when devices so not work the way it supposed to and we appreciate for providing details, however, could you let us know the model of NVIDIA Geforce installed on your system?

In the meantime, we would suggest you to try following the steps mentioned below and check if it resolves the issue.

Check for the ghost drivers in Device Manager.

    1. Open Device Manager.

    2. Click on View in the menu bar and choose Show hidden devices.

    3. Check for the Greyed out or Unknown devices under
    Display adapters and Other devices.

    4. If yes, right click on each and select Uninstall driver.

    5. Make sure to check the box behind Delete the driver software for this device.

    6. Restart the computer to complete the process.

    7. Then try downloading and installing the latest driver for
    NVIDIA Geforce
by either Automatic Driver Updates or
    Manual Driver Search by model
    .

  4. Display Drivers showing up on device manager

    Device Manager Un-Hiding Hidden Devices

When you connect a plug and play device, Windows Plug and Play manager detects it, finds and installs the driver. Device Manager lists the device with a solid icon.

The driver is only removed when you uninstall the device, not simply by disconnecting the device. When the device is disconnected, its driver is still installed. By default, Device Manager only displays connected devices. When you show hidden devices, note the Bluetooth icon you see is semi-transparent (not opaque). That indicates a "non-present" device. Sometimes also called a "ghost" device. The driver is still installed but the device is not currently detected (i.e. not connected).

    Device can be disconnected when
    • Device unplugged (e.g. removing a USB device)
    • Turning a device OFF
    • Disabling the device in BIOS (then windows won't detect it) or
    • Device failure

    So
    • Check BIOS as suggested
    • Check board connections
    • Can b/t be turned off by a switch? or keyboard combination?
Also possible the b/t h/w failed
