Windows 10: Display Settings not working

So my computer screen is always unnecessarily bright, and today I went to turn down my brightness, and I can't. The brightness setting doesn't show up under the display settings section, so I can't turn it down. And the settings help and Cortana have told me I can't do anything. My computer is fully updated, I've restarted it, I can't think of anything else. Anyone know how to fix this?

To reset the settings back to default, follow these steps:

• Go to your desktop, right click and select Display Settings.
• Choose the appropriate settings from the options under Display.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
