    Display size problem

Sorry. Not quite sure which section to put the question in.

I've been using Windows 10 for about a month, having upgraded from Windows 7, and suddenly the display of all items and windows has gone 'very large'. App windows fill the screen, Firefox window is only 75% or less veiwable because the rest is off the screen, and text therefore is very large. Apparently the screen resolution is correct, and I've managed to get the desktop icons down to a normal size by altering them to small icons, but there appears to be no way of altering the size of any windows opened on the screen.
Does anybody have any ideas, because I'm stumped?
    Thanks.

    :)

  2. Taskbar Icons Too Small

I also have the same problem. In addition now all my text is small on the screen. The adjust display size in in display size doesn't work. I can set it at 100% or 175 % but the icons and text size won't change.

  3. Windows 10 Calculator menu not working

    I finally solved the problem.

The root cause of the problem was custom text size setting on "display setting". User can choose text size setting like predefined 100%, 125%, 150%, etc. But I used "user-defined" text size setting
of 115% in "advanced display setting". That caused the problem. It warns that setting user-defined text size is not recommended.

When I revert to predefined 125% or default 100% for text size setting, the calculator mode menu works fine. Problem solved.

    Display size problem

Hello Trace, and welcome to Ten Forums. *Smile

Double check to make sure that you have your DPI scaling level set to the default 100% (96 DPI). If it was set higher, it would make everything appear larger as you described.

Thanks, but that's not it. I think I've found a way around it at the moment by changing the screen resolution from the 1024 X 768 recommended to 1280 X 1024 which shouldn't really work, but has got the windows vaguely back to what they were yesterday (not quite right, but definitely viewable compared to a couple of hours ago).

Is your graphics driver up to date?

  7. I'm just wondering if you have already installed the graphics drivers?
