Windows 10: Display sliding bar for adjusting brightness of any screen windows

My Lenovo IBM Thinkpad Carbon x1 had F8 and F9 key to make brightness change. After upgrade to win 10 from win 7, after updated Intel graphic 4000, still cannot find any places showing the sliding bar for changing computer brightness. the two keys F8 and F9 plus FN key lost their function.


What to do now ?

Some computers can let Windows automatically adjust screen brightness based on the current lighting conditions.

To manually adjust the screen brightness, we suggest following these troubleshooting steps:

• Click Start, then select Settings.
• Choose System, then select Display.
• Under Brightness and color, move the Change brightness slider to adjust the brightness.

How exactly did you try to adjust the brightness on your system?

If however you are not able to change the brightness, I suggest you update your display drivers and check if it helps:

You can update drivers from the Device Manager.

• • Right click on start button and click on Device manager.
    
  • Select Display adapter and expand it.
  • Right click on the device and select Update driver.

Brightness bar not showing in display module

Could you post a screenshot of what you're seeing.. the entire window?

Open Device Manager, check there are no yellow triangles.
Some suggest uninstalling the monitor resolves this:
