Display too large after Windows 10 update

    Hi!

My computer recently updated Windows 10. After the update everything displayed on my monitor is too big--my desktop does not fit in the viewing portion of my monitor, and everything on the margins is cut off. For example, I can't fully see the start menu; the date is cut off on the bottom of the task bar. When I start an application, the window is too large and I need to resize each time I open it.

I have tried changing the scaling options. I do like 125%, but tried changing it back to 100- it's actually worse that way with slightly more cut off. Also note that I did not have any issues previously with 125%.

I updated the display driver and restarted the computer, no help. I'm not much a techie, so not sure what information may be relevant.

Computer: HP Pavilion desktop 595-p0xx; i5-8400
    Display settings: 1920x1080; scaling 125%
    Monitor: Samsung S24C350; 67.2kHz 60Hz 1920x1080
    Intel UHD Graphics 630
UHD Graphics control panel settings: 1920x1080; 16:9

    Windows Home 10 64 bit version 1909

    Thank you in advance!

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

Display too large after Windows 10 update

    Cortana Search Showing large text

    Hi,

This issue may have happened due to outdated display driver. Please follow these steps to update your driver:

    • Select the Start button, type Device Manager, and select it from the list of results.
    • Expand Display adapters, and right click your graphics card and select
      Properties.
    • Choose Driver tab and click
      Update Driver.

If Windows doesn't find a new driver, you can try looking for updates in your computer's manufacturer website using the model of your driver. We also suggest that you start your computer in
Safe modeto check if the text are still large when searching in Cortana.

Please keep us updated with this concern.
