Windows 10: Distortion in Some Windows

So certain colors in a few programs get distorted, especially when I'm focused on another program. I did some research on it but none of the fixes seemed to really work. I have Intel Graphics and a 1650 Ti in my laptop. When I disabled Intel Graphics and restarted the computer it seemed to fix it, but then I can't adjust the brightness of my screen, and I don't want Intel Graphics completely disabled so I can save some power. I tried finding a better fix but I haven't found anything. My graphics drivers are all up to date and I'm running Windows 10.0.18363. I have an i5-10300H. The programs still function properly but it is extremely ugly to look at most of the time. If anyone can help that would be great. Thanks.

sound distorted after windows 10 anniversary upgrade

This is where I'm at on my HP laptop with Windows 10 and the Anniversary update.

I completed step #3 "hardware and sound" but that took me to an option for "sound, speakers." There was no "properties" as step #4 suggests. I selected "sound, speakers" and then found "properties." After selecting "properties" there was no "enhancements
tab" as step #5 suggests.

Regardless, I then uninstalled the realtek audio driver. I noticed that when I did this without restarting my laptop that the sound was now tinny, but not distorted as it was previously. After restarting, the sound was again full, yet distorted.

Realtek still shows in my programs list, though it shows no memory is used.

Sound distortion on Windows 10

Since I have my new PC I am experiencing a really annoying issue with my audiosystem.

When no sound is produced some distorted and static sound comes through my speaker (BOSE Soundlink Mini).

However, when I am listening to music, play games or watch videos the distortion is gone. But in every pause of sound the distortion returns.

I have tried this:

I suggest you to disable all enhancements in Speakers properties and check. Refer the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X.
• Click on Control Panel.
• Double-Click on the Sound Icon and click on Speakers.
• Click on Properties.
• Click on Enhancements Tab.
• Now click "Disable All Sound Effects"
• Click OK and check if issue persists.

But that didn't work unfortunately

If someone could help me, I would be very grateful

Some Music CDs Distorted When Played or Ripped

Hi Jon Owens 1966,

There are some factors that might cause audio distortion, like a damaged disc or file, settings applied, or at times, it might be the DVD drive that's causing the problem. Let's narrow down the issue. In order for me to have a better idea on your concern,
I would like to know the following:

• Is the issue also happening when you try burn your files on a disc?
• Have you tried checking if file audio or video files have the same issue?
• Are you using Windows Media Player when you rip audio files from your discs?
• What is the version and build of your Windows 10?
  • You can have this checked by pressing the Windows button + R on your keyboard to open the
    Run box, then type winver and press
    Enter.

In the meantime, I suggest that you run the troubleshooter for DVD in Windows Media Player, to automatically find and fix issues that could cause the distortion.

Please don't hesitate to keep me posted on the results on your thread.
