Windows 10: diver category is wrong so device does not work

Hello,I installed a RS-485 to USB which has a FTDI chipset. When I plug it in, first is appear in the category Unspecified and shows up as RS486 to USB converter with some box icon. But as soon as I connect it to Modbus, it changes its category to USB mouse and shows up as 2nd mouse in the category Devices, together with the really connected optical mouse , keyboard etc. Its icon changes to a ball mouse. Then the mouse pointer moves all over the screen as now I have 2 mice and the software that is supposed to control the RS485 converter, crashes.How can I change that category back, so it works

Imaging Device category missing in device manager

I purchased a budget Logitec webcam C270. After installation everything is working with the new webcam . Device manager now shows the category Imaging devices. I wont bother trying to fix the old built in webcam since this new one is so much better. Tks for all the suggestions

 

New build, all works but ethernet

Anyway everything works fine except for the ethernet port. Under device manager it is listed as "Ethernet Controller", under the category of "unknown devices" (along with several other unknown devices).

 

Games you own profile category

that could work as some kind of massive review system... have a searchable list and categories (games, software, hardware, etc) and all results under teh same name show up when you select it, and users could enter their own mini reviews.


That said, it'd take a lot of work to code (well, 15 minutes for w1zz, but he's a robot)
