Windows 10: Dll file missing

Hi

So the last two weeks I keep getting the message during boot.


There was a problem starting winscomrssrv.dll

The specified module could not be found.


There is no pointing to any particular software that might be associated with the .dll file.

If I press OK the message goes away.


What i have tried is:


Eset internet security - Updated and scanned entire system and drives - No problems found

Malwarebytes - Updated and scanned entire system - No problems found

Sfc / scannow - No problems found

Restore health - No problems found

Registry - Search the entire registry and found nothing with that name.

Stopped - Deleted - Started services - All ok no problems (and no fix)

Google - Well it seems as its me and a polish guy that have this problem.


So google pointed me to a polish forum where someone asked the same question, and the reply indicated that it might have been a virus that got removed and now im stuck with the message.


If that is the case, any idea how i remove the message?

Any other ideas as to how to remove the message?

Missing .dll file .

Hi,

I suggest that you perform the steps below and check if it helps resolve the issue.

• Uninstall all those apps (using revo uninstaller) which are giving you msvcr100.dll and msvcp100.dll files missing error
• Open the link below

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679

And download and install Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4.

3. Download VSU_4\vcredist_x64.exe if you’ll be installing this on Windows 10 64bit.

4. Download VSU_4\vcredist_x86.exe if you’ll be installing this on Windows 10 32bit.

DLL Missing

I actually posted the link for the "list of troubleshooting steps to resolve your boost_threads.dll problems" which is located half way down the page. I did not mean to promote any downloads.

Why don't I just go back and indicate that on my original post? That way there's access to the 'step-by-step' instructions, which are accessed via those green 'plus' signs next to the topics.
