Windows 10: Do I have to install the Feature Update to Windows 10 Version 1903?

That Update is sitting in my Update area. saying.


The next Version of Windows 10 is available with new features and security improvements. When you are ready for the Update, select "Download and Install".


Well I am one month from age 79, and don't even want to attempt to Install that, especially after hearing on here all the issues others are having. I am just a simple Home User and not Computer Literate. So can I just totally ignore that Update? If a problem develops, I have no means of paying someone to fix it. So far my PC is running well. Why ask for possible issues that will cost me? I figure the only way it will get installed is if Microsoft Automatically Installs it, like all other Updates. I have no idea if there is enough space on my PC for that update or how to check for any other requirements.

Window 10, Version 1903 May Update

1. Why are all of the links that you listed not completed. On my computer currently it has Windows 10 Home Version 1803, installed 6/29/2018 with O.S. Build 17134.799. It has used space of 187 GB and 257 GB of free space.

I attempted to install Version 1903 Manually, through Settings/Windows Update, Windows 10 Update Assistant, and other ways without success. I have spent the better part of the past 3 days trying to get this accomplished on my laptop. It has worked on my
PC but not on the laptop.

Listed below are the different error messages that I get after the download stops each time at 90% and converts back to previous settings:

a. Windows 10, Version 1903 error message (0x80240034)

b. We couldn't install this update, but you can try again (0x800703fb)

c. We couldn't install this update, but you can try again (0xC1900101 - 0x4000D)

d. Feature update to Windows 10, Version 1903, We couldn't install this update, but you can try again (0x80070652)

If there are ways to get this latest update installed on my laptop, please let me know what I have to do in detail, step by step.

Windows 10, Version 1903 Feature Update

Honestly, version 1903 is very stable, probably the most stable feature update to Windows 10 yet.

It is being released slowly and currently, you must click 'Update Now' to get that update . . .

The 1903 update will check your system prior to installing and if a hardware conflict is found, the update will not install

All-in-all, on these forums we are usually flooded with bugs and complaints when a feature update is released, this has not been the case with 1903, so you should go for the update . . .
