Camera App starts Windows Store, not Camera

    Hi David,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand your concern regarding the issue that you are facing.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

    • Now are you able to use the camera app or not?
    • Are you getting any error message?

Try disabling the third party services (anti-virus) and check

If you are able to see the update and failed to install please perform the steps below and check:

    Method 1: Disable Anti-virus software.

The issue may also arise due to the security software installed in your system. So, I would suggest you to disable the anti-virus installed on your system and check if the issue persists.

Disclaimer: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software, you should re-enable it
as soon as you're done. If you're connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

I suggest you to upgrade to latest build from the link below and check if it helps

You can download the latest Windows 10 ISO from the link below and install

    Download Windows 10

Hope this helps. If the issue remains unresolved, please get back to us and we would be happy to help

Follow the below steps to turn on windows defender:

    • Right click on Start menu.
