Windows 10: Do I need to remove my generic product key?

So I have the generic product key for windows 10 home (YTMG3-N6DKC-DKB77-7M9GH-8HVX7) installed on my computer, I am going buy a DIGITAL LICENSE that is linked to my Microsoft account. My question is do I need to remove the generic product key to get the digital license, or do I leave since a digital license doesn’t make me enter a product key?

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
