Windows 10: Documentation for spell check/auto-correct?

Can anyone point me to documentation that explains in detail how spell check/auto-correct works in Windows 10? For example, (1) How does it handle multiple installed languages? and (2) What applications does it work in? (On my installation, it works in the compose mail window of OE Classic but not in Notepad or Wordpad.)

Spelling auto-correct on Lumia 1520

My Lumia 1520 suddenly stopped Spell-check/auto-correct. This answer didn't work for me, but pointed me to the solution.

In this same Section: Settings >> Keyboard, there's an Advanced button. In there, there's a "Reset Suggestions" option. When I did that, the Spell-Check/Auto-Correct started working again.

 

Spell checker and dual languages

That's what I thought at first too, but then I thought "waiddaminute!"

On the phone, spell checking is tied into the keyboard, so theoretically, it should spell check his documents properly provided he switched between keyboards while typing. It's not like the phone's spell checker is as extensive as the full Office suite.

 

Spell check and the language settings for that are almost always per application unfortunately.
