Windows 10: Documents folder contains other important folders and isn't supported for file backup...

I have successfully backed up all my files except my "Documents" folder to OneDrive. The error message is:"Unable to sync", and a little lower:"Documents folder contains other important folders and isn't supported for file backup"I would have hoped that more information is conveyed with that error message, such as: What do I have to do prepare my documents folder such that a backup is possible? Has anyone learned which types of important folders are the ones that keep OneDrive from backing up the Documents folder? I'll be happy to try to remove them if that helps.Thanks!

Your second screenshot shows that Pictures is selected in Folder Protection to back up to OneDrive.

I'm not sure what was done that have caused the error on Desktop and Documents, possibly moving their location before removing the from Folder Protection. There are some suggestions about the cause of this error here:

Make sure Documents and Desktop folders are in their correct locations by the methods here: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/23504-resto...

Then make sure no folders inside either folder are being redirected from elsewhere. Did you move s shell User folder into Documents folder? These will be identified by the shell User icon (document, download arrow, picture, music note) on the folder itself and a Location Tab on the Properties box, where it is moved or restored to default location.

Report back results for each step so I know what else to suggest.

I am currently running windows 10 on my pc. There are 3 drives set up that I use for different functionalities (general storage, games and my (C drive holds windows along with my applications). I used to sync my files in one drive but I decided that I did not want one drive to sync all of my folders and moved the folder locations of my Documents, Desktop and Pictures outside of my one drive folder. Right now I have all of my "Important Folders" set up on my general storage drive (D alongside one drive.

I am perfectly happy with how I have my drives set up and where my folders are placed, but I cant help but feel annoyed by the message "Documents folder contains other important folders and isn't supported for file backup" whenever I go to my one drive settings. If this is inescapable then I can definitely get over it, but my other folders (Desktop, Pictures) don't have this issue even though I did the same exact thing by moving the location of the folders.

I have tried creating another folder called "Documents" and put it inside the one drive folder, but that did not work. I have not tried signing out of one drive and signing back in because I don't want the same issue to happen again if I move the folders. What could be causing this issue and what can I do to resolve it?
