  1. Dodgy Site ?? what is http://applun.info/en_webwindows_uk/?uclick=hej2ciftfe#

    Hi

A few times now I have received a site pop up on my screen saying Warning your system has detected 4 viruses on your Windows operating system , do not ignore this warning. I am invited to click on a download site to fix my Computer etc.

It has the Windows Logo etc and as I never click on anything I receive like this I leave the site, ( click out ) at top task, search bar, I then check my system through Bullguard which says all is good, I check my Updates on Windows, again , all in order.

The site is http://applun.info/en_webwindows_uk/?uclick=hej2ciftfe# so I try and find out about it , ie , is this a known Scam Site, No Joy.

    So, my question is

Does anyone have experience of this site?

    Is it Genuine?

    Is it a Scam?

Or is it a new one.

    Any feedback would be appreciated.

    Regards.

    GPUz Incorrect Info GF117

I've got the GT620M in a Zenbook and the newest version of GPUz has it listed as a 40nm part whereas all other info on the web suggests its 28nm. Can you investigate, W1z?

    Thanks

  3. Dodgy Cable/Socket?

You could have a dodgy cable or USB socket.

Remove all of your USB devices.
Then try each of them (individually) to see if you can tell which device/socket is responsible.

For example, connect only a keyboard or mouse and then try:
    • Jiggling the cable to see if it is responsible
    • Swapping the cable to a different USB socket and try again
