Windows 10: Does downloading group policy editor of the internet not stay for ever on home?

I just installed 1709 but i only had a home key so i thought it's fine i'll just download it and it stayed for a day but when i next got on it was gone and it started installing 20H2, i've fixed it for now but is it best for me to get off home or can i keep group policy editor on home?

Administrative template missing in group policy editor.

I have Windows 10 version 1909 (OS Build 18363.1171).I want to speed up the loading of thumbnails in the file explorer for pdf files. I went to this article and it lists the steps that involve editing the group policy. https://www.guidingtech.com/speed-up-thumbnail-loading-windows-10/


Unfortunately, I am not getting the administrative template in my group policy editor and cannot proceed.





I am the sole user of my laptop with admin privileges. Please advise.

I tried installing admin templates from this link but it didn't solve my issue.

This notice appears each time the Group Policy editor is opened, and takes two clicks on OK to close.
Simple steps to banish it?

Checked out this article, but was unable to rename the two files mentioned. I did delete them, however, and this removed the error message. What damage that did is ... to be discovered. ^_^ Files are in RECYCLE bin.
