Windows 10: Does this old PC support Windows 10?

Hi all,

I'm upgrading an HP Pavilion a6242n Desktop PC (Windows 7). Before the upgrade, the Upgrade Assistant said that it was not capable of running Windows 10. Here are it's original specs:

• AMD Athlon 64 x2 4800+ Dual-core (2.5GHz)
• nVidia GeForce 6150SE Integrated Graphics
• 3GB DDR2 667MHz
• 320GB HDD

Here are the upgraded specs:

• AMD Athlon 64 x2 5600+ Dual-core (2.8GHz)
• AMD Radeon 7770
• 8GB DDR2 800MHz
• 320GB HDD

Just wondering if it'll run Windows 10. If it doesn't, it doesn't matter to me too much, I have another newer PC. This whole thing is just out of curiosity.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Windows 10 Creators Update ends support for Intel’s Clover Trail processors.
