Unable to Join the Windows 2016 Server to the Domain..

 

Issue of joining windows domain presented on windows 10 and windows server 2016

Dear Windows community Team,

I am having trouble with windows 10 pro 64bits and windows server 2016.

I am having this issue where all machines running windows 10 and the servers running windows server 2016 are refusing to join the domain and the error which comes while trying to join the domain is "Network path was not found".

I did multiple change trying different machines running different build of windows 10 however no one of them has joined the domain.

The organization is running 7 domain controllers and also the forest and domain functional levels is windows 2008 R2.

One of the colleague has advised to go for windows 2012 for forest and domain functional level but I doubted on that because the lab I set up is running windows 2008 for forest and domain functional level and the machines running above OS are well joining
the domain.

Kindly advise if any thing should be done for better operation.

client/server on vb -joining domains error

hi there, I'm installing client/server architecture on the oracle vb. my platform is win 10 home. I would like to install server 2016 and win 10 pro on the vb.

I've got both machines customized in settings and running. however when it came to joining domains, win 10 pro didn't work -message popped up indicating domain name not found??

I then checked back into properties network ip4@ and confirmed that both given properties were correctly configured to join (client/server unique nos. with the same -preferred DNS, default subnet, and gateway @'s). I have configured and promoted myserver.local domain.
I have installed and configured active directory with OU's, groups and users. BUT WHY WON'T THE CLIENT (WIN10 PRO) JOIN DOMAIN (SERVER2016.LOCAL)???

Problems that I'm suspecting of are 1. the install of vb without extension pack. 2. server 2016 & win 10 iso download file path is from my 2/3.0 USB 3. my win10 home platform edition.
