Windows 10: Don't have permission to remove file from my user.

So I'm trying to start a client but it wont run unless I open this page. I go to open it and it is empty so I think I should just delete the whole program and re-install and try again. I go to delete it but I am denied permission. I will attach a photo but it says I need permission from something called EIVDWOLS and I don't know what that is. I searched it up and it's not a computer term so I'm even more confused. I just recently bought this computer, about a year ago from amazon. I bought it new but I'm not sure that it was. Maybe that is someone else on my account? But when I go to settings

Removing a "hidden" user and user files

Thanks for your patience. I was able with "Net User" to remove the left over user. It no longer appears when I invoke Net User.

Now for the user's folder which remains behind. After performing the series of steps that you suggested, I attempted to delete this folder. The result again was an error message about permission


"Administrators" appears on the list in the list of advanced security.

 

File permissions for another user

Still no joy. Test User can still write to the file. *Sad
This are the steps I have done;

1. Created file in User account
2. Copied file to Test User account
3. Signed into Test User account
4. Right click file
5. Properties > Security > Edit > Add Test User > Allow Read > Deny Write > Advanced > Change Owner to Administrators > To Remove User account had to disable inheritance which removed all accounts except Test User and Administrator
6. Test User can still write to the file!!

Still stuck. Test User still has full control of the file, he can write, modify, cut, copy, paste in fact as if the permissions had not been changed. *Confused

User can't copy files from network share. Permission error.

Remove the group association from the users account and have the user log off. Add the group association back to the user account and have them log back in.

Test.

Double check if the user is a member of any other group with lower access level which might conflict with this shared folder/file. Edit if necessary

Are there issues transferring other files from the same folder. If not create a copy of the file. Purge all permissions and access rights from the copy.. recreate permissions from scratch and copy it over the original.
