Windows 10: Downgrading from Win-10 1607 to Win-10 1511

Recently Windows 10 on my desktop PC upgraded itself to Build 1607. Immediately my Brother printer stopped working (it was removed from the list of printers and could not be reinstated). Other funny things happened too. I downgraded back to Build 1511 and the printer now works, and the other problems were resolved too. However, the Mail and Calendar application stopped working. When the icon is pressed, nothing happens except one brief flash of the screen.
Anyone has an idea?

Rollback to Win 7 after Anniversary Update?

I'm having so many problems with Win 10 version 1511 that I don't want to keep it.

I'd like to try the new Anniversary edition (version 1607) to see if that solves the problems.

However, if it still has too many problems, I'd like to rollback to the original Win 7.

I know I can rollback from Win 10 Anniversary within 10 days.

That will take be back to Win 10 version 1511.

My question is AFTER that rollback to Win 10 version 1511,

can I still rollback to the original Win 7 within 30 days

of upgrading from Win 7 to Win 10 1511?

In other words, will I be able to I do TWO rollbacks,

or will upgrading from Win 10 1511 to Win 10 Anniversary

wipe out the Win 7 rollback files.

I have no need to downgrade to Windows 7, I already have taken control of updates on my now v.1607 Windows 10 installation (I initially upgraded to Win 10 v.1511 from Win 7), no 3rd party software, app's, or tweaker's involved.

I actually like Windows 10. I've had no problems, it's the most powerful yet, and that goes back 30 plus years of using Windows in it's various iterations.

Firstly try uninstalling and reinstalling those apps then run the apps troubleshooter if they still don't work.

 

Before you faff around downgrading, I take it there isn't a driver on the Brother website. However I found that the list of printers in windows 10 can be updated, in the window where you pick the maker on the left and the printer on the right. There's a button labelled Windows Update I think. It takes time but it got the driver for a printer for me the other weekend.

 

I did remove the Mail app and reinstalled it, but nothing happened.
Where do I find the app troubleshooter? Is that specific to each app? Or a general tool?
