Windows 10: Downloaded HEVC Video Extensions from the Microsoft Store, now display is orange and washed out

As the title says, I downloaded this for use with a video player, installed it from the Windows Store, and the moment it installed, the display transitioned to appear orange and washed out, as if night mode on was turned on.

Looking in the notifications menu in the bottom right, turns out night mode had been toggled on, but switching it off had no changes, and additionally I can find no way to actually uninstall the Extension, either from the Microsoft Store, Settings, or the Control panel.

Is there any fix for this?

What's the difference between paid and free HEVC Media Extensions app?

When I try to open HEVC video file, Movies app linked me to Store to install codec, which is $0.99 paid app (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/p/hevc-video-extensions/9nmzlz57r3t7) but there is a free one which is named 'HEVC Video Extensions from
Device Manufacturer' (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/p/hevc-video-extension/9n4wgh0z6vhq). Is there any difference between those two apps?

 

HEVC codec video extension wont launch

Hello, I have windows 10. I'm running the Edge browser. I have downloaded the HEVC codec video extension app from the windows store just as the Windows troubleshooter advised, but the app wont launch. I could not find any support for this problem so I'm
hoping someone hear has an answer.
