Windows 10: downloaded software will not run

I downloaded an exe file with certificate from a known good source. When I click on it, I the window asking if I will allow the software to change my computer. I answer yes, then the window closes and nothing happens. I have successfully downloaded and run other software.


Any ideas?

my computer keeps on downloading random software

Note:Updates and drivers are installed automatically, with no need to select which updates are needed or not needed. In rare cases, a specific driver or update might temporarily cause issues with your device, and in this case
you will need a way to prevent the problematic driver or update from reinstalling automatically the next time Windows Updates are installed.

Method 2

I also suggest you to follow the steps below and check:

• press Windows + r to open run command.
• Run services.msc to open Services Manager.
• Ensure that the Windows Defender service is started and set to Automatic.

How can I run Android Studio as an Administrator for all Downloads?

I suggest you to follow the below mentioned steps to install and run Android Studio as an administrator.

1. Download the Android Studio from the recommended website.
   
2. Once the download is completed locate the downloaded file.
   
3. Right click on executable file (.exe) and Run as administrator to complete the installation.
