Windows 10: Downloads hanging and giving error code 0x80246019 in microsoft and xbox BETA app

I cant download anything via the microsoft store/xbox app thing. they just hang there.

I've tried wsreset, sfc/ scan and that completed it's stuff to no avail. I have tried the following;



Try reinstalling gaming services. To do this:

• Launch powershell as an administrator and enter “get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers”
• In the same powershell window, enter “start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN”
• Install the app on that page, including accepting the UAC prompt when shown.
• Try installing the game again.

I've also tried;


4. Uninstall & Reinstall Store
Right click on Windows Start > Right click on Windows Powershell (Admin) > Copy the following from below and right click in Powershell to paste > Enter

Get-AppxPackage -allusers *WindowsStore* | Remove-AppxPackage

Copy the following from below and right click in Powershell to paste > Enter > Reboot your computer

Get-AppxPackage -allusers *WindowsStore* | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}


all with no success at fixing this damn issue, what else can I try fix this broken storefront?

Step 2: Reset the Windows Store to clear the Store cache.

• Press Windows key + X on your keyboard.

• Type wsreset.exe and then hit Enter. 

Step 3: Uninstall and reinstall the Xbox App to update it.

• Click Start and type Windows PowerShell on the search box.
• Right-click and then select Run as administrator.
• Type the following command to uninstall Xbox app: Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp* | Remove-AppxPackage.
• Hit Enter. 
• Launch Windows Store and download the Xbox App.
