  1. DPI Scaling Still Doesn't Work?

Made the terrible, terrible mistake of letting Dell send me a laptop with a 1920x1080 screen to replace one with a busted 1366x768 screen. I've been fucking with it all day and most things are mostly legible now, but there are some ghastly exceptions. Like the fucking File Explorer. I can read the folder names and sidebars fine, but the ribbon and menus are utterly illegible, no more than 1/3 the size of the other text in the same window. Most settings dialogues are broken too, of course.

Is this really where Windows 10 is after more than 4 years? Basic components of the operating system are incompatible with the operating system?

    EDIT:

You guys are telling me that this is how it's supposed to look?

Is there a way to force DPI scaling?

    Hello,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

Let me answer your query regarding DPI scaling.

Please be informed that you cannot force a DPI scaling on a particular app, right now there is no option to do that. If you have set a custom scaling level to 250% and if the app doesn’t support, to run the app, you have to disable
dpi scaling for that particular app.

You may follow the below steps and check.

    1. You may right-click the application’s shortcut and then click Properties.

    2. On the Compatibility tab, select “Disable Display Scaling on High DPI Settings” and then click OK.

    3. Now check if you can use the application.

Hope the information helps. Do reply if you need further assistance.

    Thank you.
