    Hello all. I’ve just recently made the switch from Mac to Windows but I’m having some issues. When trying to drag a file from one folder to another, my only option is to drop the file into the main folder. I try hovering the file over the folder to open it and see the sub folders inside but nothing happens. Also on Mac I was able to hover the file over the back button etc to navigate around the finder while still dragging file but have been unable to using my windows.

    As a bonus question, does anyone know how to unzip a rar by simply double clicking on the zipped folder. I have winrar installed, but the only way to unzip in the same location is by right clicking, unzip here. Not a huge issue but when unzipping multiple files it can become tedious.

    Hi Charles,

    the steps you suggested didn't work for me but, when pressing the escape key it somehow expanded the drive and by using drag and drop to the single file in the list worked.

    In the past I could drag and drop multiple folders onto the drive on the network computer(s). Doing it on individual folders will take far too long and time consuming and is not an option.

    Microsoft should be able to identify what is blocking it and issue a fix.

    My machine is multi boot so tomorrow I will try with Windows 7.

    Thanks- It appears that it's the drag-and-drop from the JUMP LIST (finally got the right terminology there) that isn't available. In looking into it more (with your help), it seems that this MIGHT be available in a future build of 10. What a crock!!! That drag-and-drop from a jump list to attach was SOOOO easy and now it's gone. Too late to downgrade......bummer*cry

    If someone comes up with a good solution (besides the paper clip), I'm hoping for a miracle!
