  1. driver for Canon MF8350cdn Network printer

I have Canon MF MF8350cdn installed on the network, but its original driver software disks are gone. Canon apparently does not maintain drivers for the printer any more. Is there any other source for driver software for old but still effective printers?

    :)

  3. Canon MF8350cdn won't work on a network with Windows 10 Professional

I contacted Canon Customer service and reinstalled everything EXACTLY in the order suggested below and it now works fine:

Thank you for contacting Canon product support. I understand you are having difficulties installing the Windows 10 drivers for your Color imageCLASS MF8350Cdn, and I will be delighted to help.

The Window 10 drivers are available for download under the Recommended Downloads section on our web site. Before you add your MF8350Cdn to your computer, you can download and install drivers and software for your printer by following the steps below.

    1. Click on the link below to go to the Drivers & Software page for the MF8350Cdn.

    http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/suppo...color_imageclass_mf8350cdn#DriversAndSoftware

    2. The Drivers & Software page will open for the selected model.

    Note:

    * This page automatically detects your computer's operating system so that only the compatible drivers and software will be available for download.

    * If you are downloading the file for someone else or for another computer, you can select a different operating system from the drop-down menu.

    3. Files recommended for your printer and Operating System will be listed in the
    Recommended Downloads section.

    4. Click on [Windows 32bit] imageCLASS MF8350Cdn MFDrivers (UFR II / FAX / ScanGear) or[Windows 64bit] imageCLASS MF8350Cdn MFDrivers (UFR II / FAX / ScanGear)
    to download the drivers.

Note: You can view information about the file by clicking the Plus sign (+) to the left of the file name

    5. After clicking the file name (1), check the "I have read and agree to the terms of the Disclaimer and wish to continue with the download." check box (2). Then, click the Download button (3).

    6. Click on the red download button to save the file to your computer.

    7. Once the download is complete, double-click the file from its download location to decompress them. A new folder will be created in the same folder. The new folder will have the same name as the compressed file. (When you select [RUN], it unpacks
    the setup folder.)

    8. Open your [Downloads] (or [Documents]) folder.

    9. You will see two icons with the name: MF8300_Series_MFDrivers_V2005b_W32_us_EN_1 or
MF8300_Series_MFDrivers_V2005b_W64_us_EN_1. Double-click on the yellow folder icon with this name.

    10. In the folder you will see two listings for [Setup]. Double-click on the [Setup] that has the type as [Application].

    11. The "MF Drivers Setup Wizard" will open. Proceed through the on-screen steps to install the network drivers.

    12. Once complete, return to the Recommended Downloads section and click on
    [Windows 32bit & 64bit] Tool Box Ver.4.9.1.1.mf17.

    13. After reading the details and disclaimer, click on the check box for 'I have read and agree to the terms of the Disclaimer and wish to continue with the download.' and click on the red download button to save the file to your computer.

    14. Once the download is complete, double-click the file from its download location to decompress them. A new folder will be created in the same folder. The new folder will have the same name as the compressed file.

    15. In the new folder, double-click the decompressed Setup file to start installation.

Next, please follow these steps to set MF8350Cdn as your default printer:

    1. Open the Printers Folder:

    * Right-click the Start button and select Control Panel. From the Classic view, choose View Devices and Printers.

    2. If there is more than one Canon printer icon shown, right-click on the printer driver you wish to use and Left-Click 'Set as Default Printer'.

    3. If the printer icons are stacked, right click on the printer icon shown and hold the mouse on 'Set as Default Printer' until the full list of drivers appears. Left click on the UFR II printer driver to use.

    4. When the printer has been set as the default printer, a check mark is displayed beside the printer icon.

Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

    Thank you for choosing Canon

  4. driver for Canon MF8350cdn Network printer

Canon MF8350cdn won't work on a network with Windows 10 Professional

I very recently upgraded from Windows 8.1 Pro (64-Bit) to Windows Pro 10 (64-Bit).

Prior to grading from 8.1, my Cannon MF8350cdn was connected to a network and used as a network printer. Now that I’ve upgraded to 10, it is not able to print via network. The computer does recognize the printer, but notes that
"driver is unavailable". I have tried various methods to solve this problem. I was even assured by a Microsoft rep. that Windows 10 is backwards compatible and that prior operating devices and software should
    work.

The following are some of the methods I used to solve the problem:

    Method 1:

    Ran Troubleshooter

Result: Computer was unable to find the Cannon MF8350cdn.

    Method 2

    Ran Device Manager

Result: Computer was unable to find the Cannon MF8350cdn.

    Method 3:

Uninstalled Printer and Reinstalled Printer Driver and Printer

After uninstalling the printer, I accessed Canon's website,

    http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/printers_multifunction/imageclass_series/color_imageclass_mf8350cdn#DriversAndSoftware
    ,

and retrieved the driver, software, and firmware for Windows 8.1 (64-Bit). I retrieved the 8.1 related elements because nothing was available for Windows 10 and I was assured of 10’s backward compatibility.

I followed these steps and reinstalled the 8.1 print driver:

How to Download and Install (Instructions provided by Canon)

    1. To download files, click the [I Agree-Begin Download] icon, select [Save], and specify the directory where you want to save the file. Click [Save] to start the file download.

    2. Downloaded files are saved in the specified folder in a self-extracting format (.exe format).

    3. Double-click the downloaded .exe file to decompress it (the [MF8000_8300_DiasServicePack_Multi] folder will be created).

    4. Double-click the [MF8000_8300_DiasServicePack_Multi] folder.

    5. Double-click the [UpdateProgram.exe] file to start installation.

*When double clicking [UpdateProgram.exe], no dialog box will be displayed, but installation will be carried out.

I reinstalled MF8350cdn via the Control Panel

Result: After reinstallation, the computer recognize the printer, but notes that
    "driver is unavailable".

Is there a solution to my problem?

It was recently suggested that I troubleshoot the connection through which the windows 8 system is trying to communicate with the
MF8350cdn. The belief is the port may be incorrectly set up. Could this possible be the issue? If so, are there instructions available on how to troubleshoot and repair this type of port issue?
