Windows 10: Driver Power State Failure & Video DXGKRNL Fatal Error BSODs for past 5-6 Months

Hello,

My Asus X510UN Laptop is suffering from Driver Power State Failure & Video DXGKRNL Fatal Error BSODs for 5 to 6 months now, these BSODs are much more frequent now a days, especially this week. Previously it only happened 2-3 times a week, now it happens 6-7 times a day, whether I am browsing web, Programming, logging in from cold boot & sleep.

I first encountered these issues when I updated my windows from 1803 to 1809 version of windows, since then these errors are some times rare some times frequent, but remained unsolved even after trying many methods.


It MOSTLY when in idle state or after closing a heavy game or application.

All drivers are up-to-date. Any help would be appreciated Asus X510UN i5 8250U 8GB RAM Intel UHD 620 & GeForce MX150 Current Version: Windows 10 Home 1903 18362.418

Driver Power State Failure & Video Dxgkrnl Fatal Error BSODs

Hi Sumit,

The Video Dxgkrnl Fatal Error BSOD doesn't appear in almost a week, I think I solved it by uninstalling driver from GeForce official site using DDU and installing the one provided on the Asus page. Please note the driver from Asus is older than from the
official GeForce driver.

But the Driver Power State Failure came back just a minutes ago, I was rushing turning on my laptop and open Chrome, the display turns black and it's not responsive even for CTRL + ALT + DEL command.

Driver Power State Failure & Video Dxgkrnl Fatal Error BSODs during and after Windows 10 v1809 update

Hello,

I decided to update my Asus laptop from Windows 10 v1803 to Windows 10 v1809. My update got interrupted by driver Power State Failure & Video Dxgkrnl Fatal Error BSODs a several times. After rebooting and reinstalling windows several times, I finally succeed
to install Windows 10 v1809 but I keep getting those BDODs. I googled online and tried almost everything such as deleting drivers using DDU and reinstalling them (from windows itself and the manufacture), sfc /scannow (which says: Windows Resource Protection
did not find any integrity violations.) and I even did a system recovery, which installed a clean windows 10 v1809. I restarted my pc 3 times (2 days so a total of 6 times) after the system recovery to see if the bsods is still happening and it was not I thought
it was finally fixed, but sadly it is not. Yesterday my laptop rebooted itself after I let my laptop on standby/sleep mode and today I got the bsods again.

I am out of solutions. Any help would be appreciated!

BSOD VIDEO DXGKRNL FATAL ERROR

Hi Microsoft,

I have an MSI GS43 it has two graphic cards, one nvidia and one intel integrated. When I disable the nvidia driver from device manager my laptop work like a charm, no error. When I enable the nVidia driver the problem appear. after a few seconds the blue
screen appear with the code VIDEO DXGKRNL FATAL ERROR. My laptop then tries to restart but it gets stuck on the msi logo and will not boot again. I neet to hard shut down and then restart. The windows restarts normally and after 3-4 seconds BSOD again and
again. I did update my video kard drivers and every suggestion which I've read.

I can also provide mini dump files or whatever it is needed for someone to understand the issue. I also have updated my Windows 10 to 1909.
