    The blue screen I get is DRIVER_VERIFIER_IOMANAGER_VIOLATION

    Driver_power_state_failure and memory_management BSOD

    A very old driver from Nvidia System Utility caused the crash
    Please update the software or check for updates here

    The nvidia website and geforce experience say I have the newest nvidia display drivers. Where can i update or remove that particular one?

    OK so I went into safe mode, uninstalled the Nvidia drivers, ran ccleaner, restarted into safe mode with networking, reinstalled the Nvidia drivers from the Nvidia website, then rebooted. After that I ran driver verifier and it didn't crash on bootup so I think my problem has been solved.

    So far I have had no blue screens. I think my problem has been solved

    Please don't forget the reset driver verifier if you haven't already

    To reset driver verifier
    • Open an admin command prompt
    • Enter "verifier/reset" (without quotes)
