    Drivers for Marvel 91xx Config ATA Device


    I have only just attached some hard drives to the 6G SATA ports of my motherboard and those drives are showing as ejectable in Windows 10.


    When I first installed Win10 afresh on my new SSD the drives attached to the normal SATA ports where also showing up as ejectable. However after I installed the Intel Rapid Storage application they disappeared from the list.


    There are no Win10 drivers for the Marvell and so I just set the compatability to Win7 and installed them from the ASUS setup utility.


    I did find a GUID for the registry that should have provided a policy page that should have at least managed to hide the drives from the safely remove hardware feature, but it doesn't do anything on Windows 10.


    Any ideas?

    Asus P8Z77-V motherboard, no Windows 10 drivers

    works fine on p8z77-v deluxe except Marvell sata 91xx driver, but works anyway.

    Hi Jesson,

    Tried the clean boot and troubleshoot reports no problems. However the
    Marvell 91xx SATA 6G controller remains unlisted in Device Manager as previously reported.

    All attempts to restore the controller and its driver have failed. The DVD drive model # is not listed on the LG website and te driver for a presumed later model is not accepted as an update.

    Examination of the Event Viewer logs shows over 200 errors all on the same day that windows 10 was installed. At lease 3 of these relate to the DVD drive, hence my DVD will not record and my attempts to repair.

    Marvell seem not to provide any customer service for windows 10.

    So where to next?
