Windows 10: Drivers from 2006

hi,
I did a clean install of windows 10 and i saw that in device manager most of the drivers of microsoft are from 2006!! When i update them automatically says that they are up to date. So there aren't any newer drivers from then?

why we must spend so much our precious time to fix your SH:IT uptdates errors and side effects ?

since i can t get removed this miscosoft basic disply i checked all other systems

and wonder if miscrosoft run on 10 + years old driver or i got some crapy updates ??

Drivers in a new lenovo ideapad y700 17, with win. 10 ,64 bit

ABOUT 50% OF THE DRIVERS IN MY LENOVO ,Y 700 ,WITH WIND. 10 , HAVE A DATE OF 6/21/2006, AND I WONDER WHY .

FOR ME IT SOUNDS, LOOKS, STRANGE THAT A NEW PC HAVE 10 YEAR OLD DRIVERS,

WHEN A LENOVO DRIVER FROM 2014 IS LISTED AS EXTREEMLY OLD!!!!!

CAN I UPDATE ALL THIS 2006 DRIVERS SOMEWHERE.

I have some of those too, I don't think the date matters if it works.

If you're looking for a reason why, I'm sure someone will enlighten us.

 

Basically i want to know if this is normal otherwise there is an issue and i should install the new ones so not to happen a problem in the future ( now i do not have a problem but i have windows 10 for a couple of days only)

 

It is normal all the drivers that come with Windows 10 are dated 2006 (I was curious if that was a mistake at first myself *Tongue). If you look at the driver version for each of those drivers though you will notice that the driver version actually corresponds to the build number of windows 10. Here is an example:



As You can see the driver version is 10.0.10240.16384. (The 10.0.10240 is the build number, the .16384 is the version number, and it is the version number from a fresh installation before any updates. Running msinfo32 shows that we are actually up to version 16392 *Tongue). As to why they labeled them this way I have no idea. But back to your original question yes it is normal!
