Windows 10: Drives keep disappearing after download

My laptop has a ~100GB SSD C:\ drive and a ~1TB HDD partitioned into D:\, E:\, F:\ each having ~300TB.


Everything was working normally until recently where anytime I download anything big say, a few GB onto D/E/F drive, suddenly Windows no longer recognizes the drive, not even in Disk Management, and there's no fixes I've tried online that could fix it until I reboot Windows 10. I've been downloading stuff from a game client Steam, browser Google Chrome / Chromium, but if I were to download anything big it would stop working and I had to reboot my computer.


It stopped me from downloading a lot of stuff I want; but shows no problem when having to read big files from the drive. Any suggestion as to what's happening / how to fix it is appreciated!

Downloaded files disappear


When you download a file through any browser, there's an option somewhere to 'Open Containing Folder.'

In Windows, to find a file you have downloaded...

1. Open your personal folder by clicking the Start button and then clicking your user name at the top of the Start menu's right pane.
   
2. Double-click one of the following folders:
   
   • Downloads
     
   • Documents
     
   • Pictures
     
   • Videos
     
   • Music

If you do not see the file you are looking for, but know its file name, you can search for it by following these steps:
To search for a file you have downloaded...

1. Click the Start button
   
2. Type all or part of the file name into the Search box.
   The file you are looking for will appear in the list of results.

 

Optical Drive Issue

Here's mine after I rt clk'd on my Documents Folder like you show in Scrsht 11:




I'd like to wait until you reply to my question in Scrsht 12, if it is a remnant of the process try deleting the one on the dsktp and see if the one in send to also disappears. If it stays in send to, test it, and if you're still having problems I'd suggest you could go back to: Option One: To Add or Remove Items in Send To context menu for Your Account (current user) and do Step 3 to remove it and start over using Step 4 but be very careful of your steps in creating the shortcut and be sure you d&d that shortcut to the send to part of the address.

I'm busy today and I probably won't be back until the evening.
