Windows 10: DSOUND.dll

Every time I've tried playing Valorant in the last couple days, it's said it couldn't run because DSOUND.dll is missing. I've tried so many things and nothing is working. I can't even do a Windows reinstall because something is missing or corrupted. I installed Restoro to try and fix all of my registry issues and that didn't do anything. I've exhausted everything from every link Google searches has given me. I don't know why all of a sudden, I can't play Valorant when I've been playing it totally fine until their most recent update. I updated the game and my video drivers and now everything on

The problem is, that the required DLL is not actually even listed there.
There are just dozens of download adware links from the top to the bottom.

I actually posted the link for the "list of troubleshooting steps to resolve your boost_threads.dll problems" which is located half way down the page. I did not mean to promote any downloads.

Why don't I just go back and indicate that on my original post? That way there's access to the 'step-by-step' instructions, which are accessed via those green 'plus' signs next to the topics.

  Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling the software?

  Aside from downloading and installing the .dll file, what other troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
