Windows 10: Duplicates in Windows 10 Mail/People App When Selecting Recipients.

I wonder if anyone could help me with this.

I've recently switched from using Windows Live Mail, which suddenly and inexplicably, stopped recognizing my Gmail Account and started using the Windows 10 Mail App/People App and everything looked fine until I started choosing multiple recipients from the People App before sending an email.


What's happening is that when I click on the People App icon to choose recipients, whether, the main recipient, or CC/BCC a list appears on the left hand side of the screen, all fine and dandy,but I notice that some of my contacts appear twice, one below the other, for example:


John Smith (personal)

John Smith


This doesn't happen toall of the contacts, only some.


I've found no way to remove the duplicates, which don't appear when I scroll through the People App itself.

I've tried going into individual contacts and editing them to make sure I don't have accidental duplicate info in the editing area, but to no avail.


I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and if they've been able to resolve it?

Delete recipient from MAIL app autocomplete list

How do I delete a suggested recipient from the Windows 10 Mail & Calendar app's autocomplete list?

Note that this is NOT a question about Outlook Mail or outlook.com.

 

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Windows 10 Mail People duplicates contacts

The contacts in my Windows 10 Mail People randomly duplicate. I have one contact that is listed four times. Other contacts are strangely listed by their e-mail address. I had the same problem with my Windows Live Mail. That problem was solved when I subscribed
to the Windows 365 and replaced it with Outlook. The Windows 10 Mail seems very unstable. Is there a way to resolve this permanently? With the Windows Live Mail this random duplication occurred several times. In lieu of a fix, can the People contacts be deleted
as a whole and reinstalled?
