Windows 10: DVD not burning, even tho it did burn on the same disk before.

ERROR:

The disc in your DVD burner is not a recordable DVD.


This message showed up when i tried to burn a Linux ISO on a recordable DVD, the burner works bc it did burn before and the DVD is recordable I even tried the same DVD as before but it didn't work. Can someone help me? I am an 14 yo and English is my 3th language, so if u need more context or a better explain just ask

Kindly follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: To burn DVD.

• 
  Insert the DVD which you want to burn before proceeding to below steps.
  
• 
  Open Start menu, type
  Windows media player in search bar and click on Windows media player from the search bar results. (Click on Recommended settings if you are opening the Windows media player for the first time)
  
• 
  Click on the Burn tab at top right corner on the Windows media player window.
  
• 
  Open the files which you want to burn to DVD by browsing the location from the left navigation pane in Windows media player.
  
• 
  Select the items which you want to burn to DVD, drag and drop the files to the Burn DVD section.
  
• 
  Now click on the Start burn under the Burn tab.
  
• 
  One the DVD has burned, you may eject the DVD.
  

Step 2: Install latest updates.

Install the latest available Windows updates.

• 
  Open the Start menu and type
  Windows update in the search bar.
  
• 
  Click on Windows update and
  Check for the updates.
  
• 
  Download and install if there are any pending updates to be installed.

Files waiting to be burned on disk error

Hello,

As you want to remove the notification for "Files waiting to be burned", I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Open This PC.
• Navigate to the location: C:\Users\(Username)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Burn\Temporary Burn Folder
• Delete the files preset in the above location and check for status.

Note: This will delete the files which have been selected to burn on CD/DVD.

Need a good DVD burning program.

I am looking for a program that can burn DVD movies . Yes one that I can take my DVD place it in my computer and burn it to a disk , what do you all suggest ?
