Windows 10: dvorak keyboard layout?

How do I change my keyboard layout to dvorak layout when my control panel doesn't have the "change input methods" option?

Hi Ajay,

Seems like you want to get out of everybody's comfort zone by moving out of the QWERTY keyboard layout. I can help you with that request, kindly follow these steps to enable the US Dvorak layout for Windows 10:

• On your keyboard, press Windows + I.
• Select Time & language.
• On the left pane, click Region & language.
• Under Languages, highlight English (United States), then click
  Options.
• Under Keyboards, click Add a keyboard.
• Choose United States-Dvorak.
• Close the settings.

You can now choose the US Dvorak layout by clicking on the language selector in the taskbar. See screenshot below:





On the pop-up, choose United States-Dvorak.

Now you can enjoy your new keyboard layout. If you have further queries, feel free to reply to this post.

Hi Franz,

Please perform the following steps to add the DVORAK keyboard layout:

Click the Windows button + I. You’ll open Windows Settings

Then press Time & Language

Click on Region & Language on the left pane

On the right pane, find the section Preferred languages, press the language you want to add the keyboard layout, then hit Options

When you are in the Keyboards section, check if the DVORAK layout is there; if not, press Add a keyboard

Find the DVORAK keyboard layout and click it

Then close the window

Check if the keyboard layout is now added

Change keyboard layout to Dvorak

Hello everyone,

I planned on switching my keyboard layout to Dvorak from QWERTY. My current operating system is Windows 10 Professional Build 17134.

I tried to switch it from Control Panel, but there is no option related to layout change.

I tired to switch layout from Region and Language in Settings but here I don't get US Dvorak anywhere.

Kindly tell me how can I change my keyboard layout from QWERTY to US Dvorak.
