  1. dxgkrnl.sys and/or watchdog.sys BSOD

I didn't actually get a BSOD, the computer just froze up and shut itself down, but according to NirSoft BlueScreenView the crash had something to do with those files. And I noticed something odd in the info of watchdog.sys; under the "Time String" category, it says "9/11/1987 2:45:13 AM".
First of all, my computer is only a couple of weeks old.
Second, that date sounds ominously familiar.

My antivirus (Bitdefender) didn't notice anything, but it just seems weird to me. But if it's normal I would still like to get my issue solved.

    Here's what happens:

During normal use, everything suddenly just freezes, with no interaction possible. And after a couple of minutes the computer turns itself off. During these minutes, audio still plays fine. But nothing else works - not my mouse, not my keyboard, not anything on screen.

    Help!

    :)

  2. BSOD - driver_irql_not_less_or_equal (l1c63x64.sys)

    Hi Seung,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused by BSOD - driver_irql_not_less_or_equal (l1c63x64.sys).

Please let us know the make/model of your computer.

The L1C63x64.sys is the Atheros LAN driver and I would suggest to uninstall and reinstall the Atheros LAN driver but install the latest Atheros LAN driver by visiting the manufacture's website and avoid using any LAN driver available though Windows Update.

However the problem could also be with any VPN software and other software so make sure you have the latest version of each of these software.

If the errors continue uninstall the VPN software and check if the issue persist.

Hope this helps. Get back to us for further queries for BSOD - driver_irql_not_less_or_equal (l1c63x64.sys). We are happy to help!

  3. wdf01000.sys and ntoskrnl.exe BSOD

    I'm on Windows 10, 64bit

Basically, whenever I try to update my LPC controller through Device Manager, BSOD with WDF_VIOLATION occurs (culprit being wdf01000.sys)

So I try to use the driver verifier to see which driver is causing the BSOD, but then it causes BSOD (cultprit being ntoskrnl.exe)

Have no idea which driver is causing them

    Please help!

Here are my list of drivers and system info: Documents

    dxgkrnl.sys and/or watchdog.sys BSOD

BSOD while using the internet. error (L1C63x64.sys)

    Hi trainman81,

    Welcome to the 10forums.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.
    1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
    2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
      • Double click the executable to open it
      • Click on the button shown below

    dxgkrnl.sys and/or watchdog.sys BSOD [IMG]

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

AVG is trying to request data from the internet, which is why the network driver is marked as the cause.

It is further recommended to check your Qualcomm network driver for updates, its driver is not supported for Windows 10.
