These are the updates that Windows Setup pulls down. It's what "checking for updates" is pulling down when you run setup.exe from within Windows. They aren't meant to be installed by the user.

  5. Control Panel/Programs and Features/View Installed Updates/Uninstall.

I wouldn't touch that for now if stability is not affected.

Perhaps the problem with the 2nd update is that the .CAB file consists of exactly 2 files - acmigration.dll and appraiser.sdb - and there are missing files related to installing?

  13. Dynamic Update KB4020001 and KB4020002 for Windows 10 version 1703

"This update via Windows Update makes improvements to ease the upgrade and recovery experience to Windows 10 Version 1703."

To me this sounds like something in preparation to the upgrade. If 1703 is already installed this ain't gonna ease the process after the fact.

    I couldn't resist. Here's what happened on KB4020001:

Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
    Version: 10.0.14393.0

I extracted the contents of kb4020002 and then just copied the two extracted files to the \sources folder on the usb drive. The two existing files are replaced.

Am I interpreting this correctly? If you already have Version 1703, you do not need to worry about this. I presently have Version 1703 ( Build 15063.250) on my pc's and Windows Update indicates they are up to date. So I am ignoring these two "Dynamic" updates. I am usually confused enough without help like this - lol.
