Windows 10: E7 Bluetooth earphones do not restart automatically - since implementation of Windows 10.

Hello in Microsoft Land


I recently eliminated Windows 7, and implemented Windows 10.


Also bought new Bluetooth E7 Cowin earphones.


They work when computer starts from shutdown.


When earphones turned off, they no longer function. I have to re-connect (not always successfully).


The earphones work, so they are not the problem.


I have set the SERVICES>DEVICES>BLUETOOTH EARPHONES to automatic. This has not resolved the problem.


Similarly, Bluetooth TROUBLESHOOTING has not resolved the problem.


I can live with it, if I have to; but I would prefer them to work without having to constantly connect each time I switch off to the kitchen, toilet, etc.


'Windows 10 for Dummies' / Widows 10 complete Manual do not help either.


Can anyone offer advice ?

Bluetooth in windows 10

My computer specs are as listed in the profile. I think all of you guys are correct. I don't have built-in Bluetooth in mobo.

I contacted skull candy headphones and thy have told me if I do not have built-in Bluetooth, I would need a dongle which supports at least a2dp. I do not know what the heck that means. I have a feeling I would need more than a cheap dongle.

Anyone suggest some a2dp adapters. I searched but don't know what a2dp is so couldn't make a decision

Edit: This is a dongle with old BT version I see now, but I'm sure you can find a Asus BT4.0 version.

@aasim1111 I have this one, it doesn't show that it supports A2DP in the specs but I think it'll work, otherwise send a mail to Asus and ask.

Bluetooth Earphones Issue

Glad to know that you were able to fix the issue. We truly appreciate for the details and, time and effort that you have taken to work on this issue.

However, there could be an issue with the drivers on the computer, where the drivers are getting conflicted and not recognizing the Bluetooth device properly and you are unable to hear the audio as it was supposed to, we will look into this for you.

• Could you please try using the Bluetooth device with a different computer and check if it works?
  

Please unplug the wired headphones and connect only the Bluetooth earphones and check if that makes any difference.

Please follow the below mentioned methods and check if it helps.

Method 1:

As you are unable to see the Bluetooth headphones after pairing to the computer, I suggest you to run the Bluetooth troubleshooter from the settings. Follow the steps below:

• Press Windows logo key + I, to open
  Settings.
  
• Select Update & Security.
  
• Click Troubleshoot and run the Bluetooth troubleshooting.
  

If the issue still persists, please follow method 2.

Method 2: update drivers.

The Bluetooth drivers could be out dated, hence un-pair the device from setting and update the Bluetooth drivers and check if that helps. Please refer the article

Update drives in Windows 10, expand Bluetooth device and follow the instruction from the above article.
