Easy all in one fix for Windows Explorer losing folders view settings,

    Issues:

Windows doesn't remember "sort by or other folder settings? Basically, it forgets folder view settings.

Windows does not remember the size or the position of a folder window when you reopen the folder.

An incorrect thumbnail image is displayed for a folder.

The thumbnail image does not appear in a folder.

Desktop icons location changes/resets after a screen refresh or after reboot.

Desktop icons take garbageload of time to load after reboot (Wont fix the issue caused by Shell extensions).

    Possible Reasons:

Most probably Windows folder view settings exceeding its default storage value.

Windows Explorer icons cache could be corrupt.

    :)

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
