Windows 10: Easy FIle Locker not Working

When i click "start protection", nothing change. There is still the "start protection" option and the "stop protection"still blank. And the file which i want to hide, its not get any effect. Please help and sorry for my bad english.

The applications that work on Windows 8/8.1 should work with Windows 10 also.



I suggest you uninstall and reinstall the Easy file locker and check if it helps.



If the issue still persists, contact the Easy file locker support.

I too had the same problem when I upgraded to Windows 10. And I tried many things before coming here. Luckily I got the answer to this error. With simple methods.

1) Delete the folder containing Easy File Locker installation.

2) Delete all related shortcuts from desktop and start menu.

3) Go to control panel and uninstall Easy File Locker. Since there is no file Windows 10 automatically removes Easy File Locker from the list.

4) In Windows Explorer, goto View/Options, then uncheck "hide protected operating system files".

5) Delete these files

C:\WINDOWS\XLKFS.DAT

C:\WINDOWS\XLCFS.DLL

C:\WINDOWS\XLKFS.INI

C:\WINDOWS\XLKFS.LOG

6) Delete the folder C:\USERS\Public\Documents\EFL

7) Re install Easy File Locker.

You are done. I will be happy to help if you encounter any other problem. Don't forget to check the box "hide protected operating system files"

worked perfectly, I deleted the file USER.DAT and reinstall Easy File Locker software version 1.5 and runs without ask me the password.
