    Edge Appearance/Customization

Why, for the love of all that is holy in programming, can I NOT change the dull grey appearance of Edge?

I can customize (to a VERY small degree) my explorer windows. I get a choice of some colors. Edge ignores those border choices and stays with its dull grey.

    C'mon...

    :)

  2. Appearance and Customization

I can't speak for anyone else other than myself. Perhaps they're busy: I understand some humungous number of users across the world have recently installed Windows 10. And then beyond that troubleshooting blind over the internet is a delicate and weird
art: sometimes it's hard for me to even guess at where to start based upon somebody's text description in areas that I'd know backwards and forwards in person or under a debugger. I respect that people are trying their best and hope that at the least we can
all level up together. Consider that perhaps they're contacting XXX in department YYY who when they end up having time may need to talk to ZZZ to figure out possibilities as regards issue QQQ but perhaps they need to involve JJJ and so forth......... Troubleshooting
is hard and cryptic work. I'm a developer and know my areas pretty well so try to send mail to support staff when I think helpful to help inform them about how to troubleshoot/solve issues in my areas. I do respect that some of them may need to build up
expertise in all sorts of new areas. We all start somewhere. Edge Appearance/Customization :)

I suspect Vanessa was confused: most of that extended theming interface is not currently present.

Right now there are no ways to get that done. With luck we might be able to in upcoming builds.

    Thanks.

But another question: why can I freely peel tabs away from their brethren, but once pulled away from the flock, they cannot rejoin? In chrome, ie, etc., I can stick tabs together.

Better yet, when I open a new tab, that tab and its parent, retain the same color. I can tell at a glance which tabs are related to one another.

The family being broken by MS.

Sorry.. but there are really no features available for Edge at the moment. I wish it had a pin tab feature but it doesn't.

  7. You can customize Edge, just a little bit.

    1. Go to the triple dots in the top right hand corner
    2. Settings
    3. Then when you are in Settings the top is "Choose a Theme" and you can change between Dark or Light.

Now that's all the better it is going to get. If you are looking for lots of customizing, Chrome is your best route. I love my Edge just the way it is *Wink

Hope this helps you with your question. If you need more help, we are here for you. *Smile

    Thanks! *Biggrin
