Windows 10: Edge browser fault

Discus and support Edge browser fault in Windows 10 Performance & Maintenance to solve the problem; "Faulting application name: microsoftedgecp.exe, version: 11.0.14393.82" Occasionally seen in event viewer.     Edge browser fault


    "Faulting application name: microsoftedgecp.exe, version: 11.0.14393.82"

    Occasionally seen in event viewer. Otherwise it performs as it should.

    Thoughts on overcoming this fault would be welcomed. SFC shows no errors.

    Going over the EDGE.

    Yes, I have carried out ALL the fault finding written in the Microsoft Forums and in the end I uninstalled and reinstalled EDGE. The problem persists on several devices so I am sure that the issue is with EDGE and not my equipment.

    I 'Googled' - 'EDGE Faults' and there is a catalogue of similar complaints.

    It is EDGE that is a fault as Chrome, Safari and other browsers work perfectly.

    Can't see videos on Facebook since my upgrade to Windows 10

    Hi Denita, Great response Have the same fault as you after upgrading to 10 from windows 7 on both edge & chrome browsers. Reinstalled chrome to see if it helped and it didn't but as the fault is on edge too I didn't expect it to.
