Windows 10: Edge Favorites

I too would like to access my W10 Edge Favorites list to edit them. But I find it incredible that no-one (including Microsoft) appears to know where they. I did come across one reply in the Windows 10 forum that listed them but not in the folders in the drop-down list in Edge and they were in code and not in plain English. Does anyone know where a list is located that gives the names in plain English and in their folders? *Confused

Favorites Bar on Egde

Favorite bar on Edge. I put several favorites on the favorites bar and after closing out of edge and log back in the favorites in the favorites bar are gone anybody have this problem??? this is my first day using win 10 and edge

 

Importing favorites from Internet Explorer to Edge misses many of them

Imported my IE favorites into Edge, and Edge reported that it was successful.

But now there appear to be two problems:

1. I compare the Edge Favorites folder (...\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\MicrosoftEdge\User\Default\Favorites) with the Internet Explorer Favorites folder, and find that 5 out of 89 folders are missing in Edge, and 34 of 65 Internet
Shortcuts that were not in folders. If I open some of the folders in the Edge Favorites folder, I find that many of them are missing sub-folders and some of the Internet Shortcuts.

2. When I click the Favorites icon in Edge, only about half of the favorites and favorite folders that made it into the Edge Favorites folder show up (yes, I scrolled down). I have the favorites sorted by name, and it only gets down to "H" for the favorites
and "K" for the folders.

What is the fix?

Hi davidhk - my query was where are Edge favorites stored in plain English and editable?

 

In Edge, the Favorites folder is now located at %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\MicrosoftEdge\User\Def ault\Favorites

 

I copied the link into Explorer search but it returned 'no matches'

 

Mine is at the 3 bars top right hand corner
Click it and your favourites will open up
I have mine in folders
Click what favourite you want and then you can do what you want with it.
If you want to add a folder or file then click the star

 

Thanks hTconeM9user = I'm aware of this but what I want is a list of all my Favorites in their folders as in Internet Explorer that I edit or manipulate. Why is it so difficult in Edge?

That is where favourites are stored, copying/pasting that link might not be working for some reason

Explain more as mine are set up as same as IE
All folders go from A-Z so does my files
All I did was right click drag and drop
Once I click on the file and open it I can edit to my hearts content
Same with the Folders
Because when I moved from 8.1 to ten I imported my folders from IE

If you are trying to do something other than above then you need to explain in more detail

 

There is slight typo on the Edge Favorites location:
%UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\MicrosoftEdge\User\Def ault\Favorites

the correct one is:

%UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\MicrosoftEdge\User\Def ault\Favorites

No space between Def and ault after \MicrosoftEdge\User\

 

It is not meant to have a space, it's ran out of room in the first line.
OP used it ok. It's the link OP has issue with, not accessing to it.

 

Well, I copied and pasted into my File Explorer and discovered a space was inserted between the Def and ault, so I just deleted the space and of course the link and the favorites are all there!
