  1. Edge: Hmm, we can’t reach this page?

Thank you. It seems that making this change to IE fixes Edge, who knew!

  5. I suddenly have the "can't find that page" problem with Edge, and this did not solve anything for me. That box was already ticked.

What happens here now is that every search ends up with the "can't find that page" and hitting "refresh" does find that page. Chrome has no problem whatsoever finding any of the pages I look for. It seems to me that some current update broke Edge in this respect. Very annoying. Anyone else seeing this problem?

This is W10pro upgraded from W8.1 on Surface Pro 3.

I have the very same problem. The only website that I can reach is MSN. I do a search with Bing from there and this is all I ever get; Hmm, we can't reach this page. I have used 4 browsers and I get an error from each. Now, the sad part is that I am running a MS Surface Pro 3 with MS Windows 10 and it does not work. Something wrong here! I have been fighting with this for almost 10 days and have ran so many different "troubleshooting" scenarios it is getting pretty crazy. I have been on their support chat and they keep giving ideas that I have already tried. I am now ready to install Win 10 for the 7th time. I have used the Windows Update file and also downloaded the ISO and burnt a flash drive and they all work the same...NOT!

I have a similar problem. First discovered the system cannot discover other system in my workgroup. Then found Windows Update fails because it's not connected to a network. But non-Microsoft browsers and apps connect just fine. Would love to install the 1511 update and see if that helps, so I downloaded the update setup from the Catalog using Firefox. But neither the X86 nor the AMD64 version of the 1511 setup accept my Intel 64-bit machine as valid for the update app. I'm leaning toward reinstalling Windows 7 and re-updating to Windows 10, but there's a very bad Windows 10 taste in my mouth right now.

Edge: Hmm, we can’t reach this page?

Sanity restored: I had the same problem. I have two logins to Windows 10, with identical settings in Edge. One behaved properly when searching in the URL bar, one didn't as above - and even more frustratingly, when I selected the "Search for.." option, it took me to Bing and not Google as per my preferred setting. Found the answer on Reddit (but can't find where now). Turns out Edge is referencing back to your IE settings. Open IE (yes, it is still there) and under Tools, Manage Add Ons, Search Providers disable Bing and enable the default to "Search in the address bar on a new tab page." Miraculously, it fixes the issue in Edge!

Hard to understand how Microsoft could let this bit of shoddy programming persist: I, and many others I'm sure, would end up rejecting Edge and going back to Chrome.

After spending way too many hours with Microsoft tech "support", I finally talked them into telling me where I could get a Windows 10 .iso file and do a fresh install. Installed a new hard drive and installed W10 fresh, and all is back to normal, aside from having to redo all installed apps, settings, etc., that are normally on the C: drive. There really needs to be a way (maybe there is?) to divorce the user data from the system, so you could save it somewhere, reformat and reinstall Windows on the C: drive, and restore user data at your leisure. I'm suspecting that the root cause of all my problems was a failed C: drive which was undetected by Windows, SFC, chkdsk, etc.
