Windows 10: Edge new favorites location

If you thought Edge couldn't find a harder place to hide the Favorites you were wrong. The current favorites are still in the same hard to find place but new additions are in a different place and they are now .xml files.

For example, this is the location for a new one added today:-

%UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\#!001\MicrosoftEdge\Us er\Default\DOMStore\GFEVVA1C

So it is very hard to track or control favorites now as there are randomisations in the #!nnn folder and the last randomly generated 8 char folder.

Edit:- "user" has had a space injected!

Corrupted Favorites Folder after importing from Internet Explorer to Microsoft Edge

After my PC did the latest major windows update (automatically) my Favorites in Microsoft Edge is corrupted. If you go to the Edge Folder location it contains the favorites I had there prior to the Windows Update just performed... So, apparently it's
now using a different location than the normal location to store the imported favorites. How can I find this new location and correct the problem?

 

With Edge browser on newly updated Windows 10, I still have my old Favorites, but when I add a new Favorite, I cannot find it in my list of Favorites

Recently updated to Windows 10. My favorites from IE have transferred automatically to Edge, but after I add a new favorite, I cannot locate it among old favorites list.
