Windows 10: Edge starts when returning from screen saver, etc

Could someone please tell me, once and for all, how to stop edge from starting when I return from a locked screen. I also don't want it started under ANY circumstances. This is my PC. Not microsoft's. I've tried different things I found on the web and I guess they aren't working. This is very annoying. Please don't try and sell me on Edge. This is my choice and if I choose something other than what Microsoft is shoving down my throat, I should be able to. Right?

Let us know what happens exactly when you try to set the screen-saver or put the computer to sleep.

I would suggest you to review he settings and check. Here is the steps:

To change Screen Saver:

• Press Windows/Start key.
• Type Screen Saver and click on Change Screen Saver.
• Select the screensaver from the drop down menu and click on Apply.
• Click on OK.

To put the computer in sleep:

• Press Windows/Start key.
• Type Power and click on Power Options.
• Select Change when the computer sleeps in the left panel.

• Press Windows + I and press Personalization.
• Select Lock screen, and then Screen saver settings.
• From there, you can personalize your screen saver.

Meanwhile, you can follow these steps to turn off your screen saver:

• Open Settings and Select Personalization.
• Click Lock screen, scroll down and choose Screen saver settings.

• Select Apply.
